Cartagena’s street art screams Black girl magic

Cartagena is such a vibrant city with a rich history and unique story. Fascinated by the 16th century plazas, colonial architecture, and caribbean culture, Cartagena has climbed the ranks as one of my favorite cities. The city has a substantial Afro-Colombian population with a strong sensed of black pride and a deep connection to it’s African roots. What I loved most about being in Cartagena was that I blended in so well as a Black woman. The celebration of Black women through the arts made me proud to be a child of the diaspora. Check out some of the street art I captured while strolling the cobblestone streets!
